Wild yaks of the Himalayas,
you carry the sun and the moon on your horns;
As gigantic as the mountains,
You tread through the vast plateau.
Wild yaks as shiny as pearls,
you are the true color of the snow mountains,
standing up straight in cloud and mist,
guarding the mountains, from the North to the South.
You drink the rising rays, feed on the mid-day glory,
stand towering like a giant against the retreating dusk light,
travel between the land and the sky.
The soul of Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, the treasure of the snow mountains,
the boat of the plateau, where are you?
Shimmery snow mountains, green rocky mountains and the roof of the world –
the place where the wind sings and snow dances is your home.
Spear through the heaven and the earth, are the tips of your horns.
Yaks in the grassland, you share a life with me,
you are the wealth and treasure of the land.
You fear none, even when the wild wolves are howling around.
O' My wild yaks, the King of the Plateau,
cut across the biting wind with pride,
splitting a path through the mist and the cloud.
You are the black tent of the snow mountains, wild yaks.
